There is no age for learning – Islamic studies weekly course for anyone

There is no age for learning. Most of the companions of the Prophet were adults. Some embraced Islam at the age of 50, some after 40, some at 48. Very few young children embraced Islam, and most of them were already grown up. Even though they were grown up, they were students in the mosque, students of the Prophet. Even today, old men are found in the Prophet’s mosque, still studying. Because if you die while seeking knowledge, you will be entitled to great fortune.

If you die in the state of seeking knowledge, the path to Paradise becomes easy for you.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever goes out to seek knowledge is in the way of Allah, that is, in jihad.” Besides, if you have knowledge, the angels will spread their wings for you.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said, “Undoubtedly, the angels spread their wings for those who go out to seek knowledge.”

Similarly, a Hadith says, “The fish in the water will pray for you, and the ant in the earth will pray for you.” If you go out to seek knowledge, Allah will discuss your matter with the angels.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Undoubtedly, when a person goes out to seek knowledge, Allah discusses his matter with the angels.”
